32 Weeks!

We are now in Week 32! Only 8 more weeks to go. Summer is quickly approaching and I am really excited. We have a trip to Monterey/Carmel, a camping trip, and many days laying by the pool planned. We start our child birth classes on Tuesday, so that should be interesting. The wonderful people at my work are throwing Baby Parr and me a Baby Shower this week. The guesses of whether or not Baby Parr is a girl or a boy keep on coming. We went to a BBQ for the football coaches this past weekend and although the boy votes won, there were a couple girl votes. Baby Parr is very active and has had the hiccups a few times this week. Matt can now see Baby Parr's kicks and rolls from across the room. Baby Parr is about 16 1/2 inches long and weighs almost 4 pounds. He/she has fingernails, toenails, and will gain about 1/2 pound a week until birth. I am looking forward to finishing the school year and relaxing before Baby Parr's arrival!

31 Weeks!

The Parr's are now 31 weeks pregnant. Only 2 months left to go. My mom and dad were in town this weekend, thanks to the caring doctors at City of Hope who understand that seeing and visiting family is part of the healing process. It worked out perfectly because this was also the weekend of Relay for Life. As many of you know, I participate in the 24 hour Relay every year. All of the donations made go to the American Cancer Society. This year was extra special because dad got to walk in the Survivor Lap. It is truly a blessing that he has continued to stay healthy and beat the odds. We are all looking forward to June 11th, which will be his 100th day after his bone marrow transplant and the day he will be released from the City of Hope. Baby Parr was very excited to kick both Grandma Nadine and Grandpa Al. Brooke layed her head on my belly and Baby Parr went to town with the opportunity of kicking her in the head! It was a great weekend and I am looking forward to spending a lot of time with my parents when they move here. Baby Parr is growing and now kicking me in the ribs. My belly is getting bigger and is sitting low. There have been about 4 or 5 strangers just in the last week who have asked if I was having a boy. One stranger has asked if I was having a girl. I can't wait to find out if Baby Parr is a girl or a boy. Baby Parr is now 16 inches long and weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. School is quickly coming to an end and summer is right around the corner!

Dad and I at Relay for Life. He got a survivor t-shirt and a gold medal!

30 Weeks!

We are now 30 weeks pregnant. Only 10 weeks to go! I can't believe how quickly time has gone by. The Parr household is super busy right now. Matt has one week left of baseball and we both have a couple weeks of school left. We are really looking forward to summer and a little break from craziness until the craziness starts again. We are getting really excited about the arrival of Baby Parr. We are both getting more and more anxious to find out if Baby Parr is a boy or a girl. I am so glad we decided not to find out. It has made the pregnancy so much more fun. I keep thinking about the moment Baby Parr is born and the doctor announcing whether it is a boy or girl. I just think it is going to be the most amazing moment. I don't think there is a better suprise than that! So far the votes for Baby Parr being a boy are way higher than the votes for a girl. I was at the grocery store the other day and the checker said, "When is your baby boy due?" I told her I wasn't finding out what I was having and she told me she definitely knew it was going to be a boy. It is so funny to hear everyones guess and their reasoning behind it. Right now Baby Parr is about 15.5 inches long and weighs about 3 pounds. He/she is rolling, kicking, punching and having a lot of fun moving around in there.
